What a great spot. I expected pretentious and high polluting but got refined, modern, and delicious. Matt (waiter) was great and quite the salesman. The Brisket Burger was outstanding. The house sauce paired with bacon jam offered an unparalleled balance. The fries, coupled with the house sauce was amazing. The decor being a blend of old and new was refreshing but not over done. This might be my new favorite place in town. Cheers

I’ve been to Cypress Hall twice now. The first time I went, was with my mother, and we enjoyed cocktails along with their strawberry cake. The strawberry cake is absolutely delicious. I’d like to add that I asked for a pink martini, which is not on their menu. The lady behind the bar, I believe her name is Leisha, took the time to look up how to make one and made me the best pink martini. I’ve tried ordering a pink martini at many restaurants in the US, and have never had one that got it right until now. It’s because of this experience that I’ve now gone a second time, that’s two weeks in a row. This time I went with a girlfriend and had the brisket burger which we split, their focaccia bread, and tried some of their other cocktails. The staff were kind enough to serve our shared burger on two separate plates, and went ahead and cut the burger in half for us. We sat at the bar and had wonderful conversations with the bartenders. This is a lovely restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere, which I will be visiting regularly.

Great place for a nice dinner. I asked for a drink that is hard to find, a lions tail (great drink btw). They had to find the ingredients and made a perfect lions tail. The deviled eggs are fabulous. I would go back just for those. Service was exceptional.

Brisket burger was the best I had in awhile. That bacon jam was the right touch. French fries was crispy with a hint of truffles I think. So good that I started chowing down before I remember to take a pic. We also ordered the margarita pizza which was just ok. Next time we'll try the aged dry strip. Prices are little high for around here; Raleigh and NoVa kinda menu prices.

Fantastic restaurant! The restaurant is beautiful... located in an older building on the main downtown road in New Bern. They have renovated the space with great attention to detail and the restaurant offers different dining experiences based on the area you are seated; from a more intimate space in the back to a lively street facing section. The server did a great job with recommendation and menu explanations. The drinks were creative and tasty! And the food... as much as I enjoyed the rest of the experience, it was the best part! We had a crawfish bowl (I forgot to take a picture because we dove right into it), a pizza from their authentic pizza oven, and a burger (I'm a burger guy and it was a top 10). Make plans to go visit this restaurant, you will definitely enjoy your experience!

I’ve lived in New Bern for about four months and finally ate here after hearing a lot of people tell me how much they love it! I can see the hype. You’ll have to make a reservation to sit at a table, but if you have a small group of fire you can sit at bar or window sit if you find a spot. Staff was very friendly, the restaurant very clean and I love the dark lighting. I ordered the jalapeños chicken sandwich with a side salad. For dessert I went with an espresso martini. Was very pleased with my overall experience and will definitely return. I hear the pizza is amazing, can’t wait to try it next time.

Each visit to Cypress Hall has been most pleasant. Staff very helpful and food outstanding. The Smoked Deviled Eggs, and the Trout & Lobster Rillette are favorite appetizers. Mema’s Famous Strawberry Cake has to be tried.

The atmosphere of this restaurant is outstanding. They even have a front porch area if you want to enjoy the breeze. The brisket burger is hands down one of, if not the best burger I've ever eaten. Our server Matt went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Everyone there was professional and just on point. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I'm excited to go back very soon!
